Angkor Wat is the largest monument built in the early 12th century. This temple was constructed by a Hindu king and is dedicated to the god Vishnu. Besides its fascinating history, Angkor Wat is also one of the best places for tourists to visit, especially to see the sunrise. It is particularly beautiful during the equinoxes, which occur on March 21st and September 23rd.
Angkor Thom was the capital city built in the late 12th century. Inside its walls are many remarkable temples:
Bayon: The state temple built by a Buddhist king, dedicated to Mahayana Buddhism. It is decorated with 49 towers, each featuring four faces.
Baphuon: This mountain temple has a pyramid shape and was built in the 11th century as a Hindu temple.
Royal Palace Enclosure: The Royal Palace served as the residence for Khmer kings from the late 9th century to the 15th century. Within the royal complex:
Phimeanakas: Known as the “Sky Palace,” this Hindu temple was built in the late 10th century.
Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King: These two terraces are close to each other but served different functions. The Terrace of the Elephants was used as a royal pavilion where the king observed military processions and met with his people. In front of this terrace is another temple with 12 towers, called the Suroprat Temple.
Victory Gate: Located on the east side of Angkor Thom, this is the main entrance to the city. It’s a great spot for photos before leaving the site.
Ta Keo: This temple symbolizes Mount Kailash and was built in the late 10th century by a Hindu king.
Lunch break at a restaurant near the temple area.
Ta Prohm: Famous for its appearance in the movie Tomb Raider, Ta Prohm is a Mahayana Buddhist temple built in the late 12th century. It is renowned for the large trees growing over the ruins, creating a mystical atmosphere—perfect for photography. Its popularity skyrocketed after Hollywood filmmakers chose it as the filming location in 2001.
Banteay Kdei: Another Buddhist temple built in the late 12th century by the same king as Ta Prohm. It’s a quiet, serene place that no tourist should miss.
After completing the tour, we will return to the hotel.

Pick Up Time: In the morning at 8 am, we will meet you at your Hotel lobby. And then the tour guide and driver take you to see the local market…
In the morning, people always take their harvest to sell in the market and buy food from the market to cook for their families, too.
Roluos Group The Roluos group refers to either the area or the historical site known today as Roluos. Historically, this area was called Hariharalaya. It served as the second capital of the Angkorian Empire, with the first located atop Kulen Mountain, established in 802 AD. Inside this area, visitors can see three notable temples:
Lo Lie: An early Hindu temple built from bricks in the late 9th century, it was constructed to honor the ancestors of the king.
Preah Ko: Meaning “Sacred Bull,” this temple features six towers standing on the same platform and is dedicated to Hindu gods. It was built in the 9th century.
Bao Kong: Located in the center of Hariharalaya, this is the only stone temple among the Roluos group. It is also the earliest model of stone temples from the 9th century that influenced all subsequent Angkorian temples.
